There is something about celebrating a holiday that makes my new role as a parent that much more obvious. Traditions are the same, yet my perception of them is now so different. My life so much fuller... It's as if I'm seeing things through a new pair of glasses. Colors are brighter, my laugh is richer and life is good.
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Olivia's first major holiday since her birth - Easter, of course. I had an excuse to get my daughter all dolled up, and we were fortunate to enjoy the gorgeous weekend weather with our families.
Posing for a picture with PaPa and CC.

Olivia's first clue in the hunt for her Easter basket.

Mom and Dad were there to assist in its detection. As was cousin Braden, of course :).

Our happy little family.

Lots of smiles with CC and Aunt Abby.

And, the smiles continued on Sunday while playing with Aunt Becky.

Hanging with Great Grandma.

Four generations get a picture.

And, another four generations get one as well.

Playing on the swing with Grandma.

Taking a nap with Aunt Jessie.

And, some chill time with Dad as the weekend wound down.

It was a very busy weekend for someone only 10 weeks old, but what a joyous one at that. There is nothing like a little quality family time to remind you to count your blessings and appreciate the little things. I can't wait for many more years of memories with our daughter.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!

Lisa, Olivia is precious. That hair just kills me; she is too cute! And you, my dear, look incredible! Seriously, you are totally back to your pre-baby figure, if not even thinner. You look amazing! Your little family is so sweet. I'm so happy for you.
